The Religious Education Council of England and Wales (REC) www.religiouseducationcouncil.org.uk provides support and monitors the quality of the award.
These comprise academic and professional associations specialising in religions and religious education. The RE Council also includes the individual religion and belief organisations which represent the range of faith communities found nationally, including the British Humanist Association. In RE I like the open discussions that we have about big questions.
I thoroughly enjoyed our educational visits such as to the Crumlin Road Gaol, and our trip to Poland…RE focuses on topics that are relevant to issues today. It helps us to have an open mind and respect other people’s opinions.
We ask such difficult questions in RE that even our teacher can’t answer them!
I feel it is important to know to improve my RE because I want to take GCSE RE and hope to get an A.
RE helps you to deal with problems in your life because you see different viewpoints.
